Awhile back I split identities. Photo to one site design to another. I came upon the name “Bread and Roses” through a friend and knew immediately it would be my new moniker. Its an old protest song basically and I think it embodies my feelings about design quite nicely. We need bread for our bodies and roses for our spirits. Design needs to “work” and that means it appeals to the right audience. In this day and age when people are constantly overloaded with stimuli, it’s very easy to get passed over without being exceptional, memorable and specific. I just finished designing and building this site (media page still under construction) for the extremely talented Adam Boehmer. Though he’s currently wrapping up his short stint in San Francisco, he will be gracing Seattle with his dance, poems, art and captivating presence very shortly.
